The mechanism of action of potassium hydrogen persulfate is that potassium hydrogen persulfate composite powder undergoes a chain reaction in water, which can continuously and persistently produce small molecule free radicals, hypochlorous acid, new ecological oxygen and reactive oxygen species derivatives, oxidize and chlorinate pathogens, and coagulate bacterial proteins.   

The generated OH radicals act on the phosphodiester bonds of DNA and RNA, interfering with the synthesis of pathogens' DNA and RNA, thereby killing pathogenic microorganisms.
